Are you a veteran of any of the Armed Forces of the United States, including the Guard?
Are you proud of your service?
Were you honorably discharged or still serving?
Then, get an e-mail account that tells everyone you write to that you proudly and honorably served your country.
Your e-mail accounts will be Name@Service-Vet.us. You have lots of options on how you want your name to appear. Here are some examples:
- John.Slaughter@Navy-Vet.us
- DP3.John.Slaughter@Navy-Vet.us
- JR.Slaughter@Navy-Vet.us
- Ryan.Hassan@Army-Vet.us
- Sgt.Ryan.Hassan@Army-Vet.us
I think you get the idea.
Did you serve in two or more branches and would like separate addresses? Go for it. I only ask that you don't get a US-Vet address as well as one that specifies your service. The US-Vet addresses should be used by those who only wish to show they served our country. They will also be used for those serving in the National Guards. You have the following choices for domains:
- US-Vet.us
- AirForce-Vet.us
- Army-Vet.us
- CoastGuard-Vet.us
- Marine-Vet.us
- Navy-Vet.us
All e-mail can be accessed using your Outlook, Outlook Express, Juno, etc. using POP/SMTP. Or, you can access it via the web. This is useful if you need to check your e-mail while not at home.
How does this all work? There is a one-time $5.00 fee, except for those who are unemployed or have a service connected disability. Retired may not claim unemployed status. You can pay by PayPal or Check/Money Order. To use PayPal, click on the button of your service. When you complete the payment, you'll be returned to the signup form. If you prefer to send a check or money order, click on the Check/MO button beside the appropriate PayPal button and fill in that form. When done, a thank you page will come up with instructions on where to send your payment. There is also a button for those who'd simply like to support my efforts and not get an address of their own.
I'll set up your e-mail account within 24 hours. Why is this not an automated service? So that I can make sure that you are live humans and not some web-bot looking for e-mail accounts from which to send spam. I apologize if the amount of information requested seems a bit much. It too, is to protect you and me and to try to make sure that only veterans get these addresses.
Who am I and what is this?
My name is John Slaughter. I served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-'72. My first duty was aboard the USS Ranger (CVA-61). I was aboard for two WestPac cruises to Vietnam. I then went to data processing school in San Diego. It was then to the Fleet Intelligence Center, US Naval Forces, Europe, at NAS Jacksonville, FL.
This e-mail service is for all my brothers and sisters who have also answered the call to serve our country - willingly or otherwise. I am not a professional webmaster and this is not meant to be a slick professional site. It is a site for veterans and run by a veteran.

P.S. Other possible accounts would be for the spouses/significant others of the vets. For instance, my wife might want Deb.Slaughter@Navy-VetsWife.us or Deb.Slaughter@Navy-VetsBetterHalf.us. If there is an interest, I'll get those domains, too.
Questions? Write me or call me at (208) 623-2433 any time between 8:00am and 8:00pm Pacific time.
